oven fried chicken recipe Question And Answer
Good Compliment...?
Hey...I'm making a Tuscan chicken panini with some prosciutto for dinner and I need a good compliment for it. I'm thinking about home fries because I have a load of taters that I should use fairly soon. The issue is that I do not have enough oil to deep fry the frites. Do you have a good recipe for oven fries that you could share?
Sorry, I don't have olive oil (just a little canola) and I'm a minor so I'm NOT using wine. I would really like the crispiness of the frites but I'm open to suggestions...

try nuking the potatoes then fry them lightly. This way you won't need to use that much oil.
Brush the fries with the oil, season with salt and pepper and bake until brown. If you want spicy fries mix some chili powder with the oil.
Olie oil to keep the flavor and a bottle of wine.
Also some stemmed vegies sound good along side of it.
Just make mashed potatoes hun.
They taste GOOD with any kind of chicken, even surprisingly Sesame chicken.
you will need to cut up your fries first and microwave them until they are soft then preheat your oven to 450 , make a batter of flower , salt , pepper , chili powder just a talblespoon , 1 egg beaten in a seperate bowl , then dip the potatoes in the egg and roll it in the flower place it on a cookie sheet sprayed with pam and roast until they are golden brown .
Cut the potatoes into wedges, put some powdered ranch dressing mix (or garlic salt) and Parmesan cheese in a paper or plastic bag. Lightly cover the potatoes with your oil, then put them in the bag and shake it up until all the pieces are covered. Then bake at 350 for about 30 to 45 min : )
Bake the potatoes with butter, fresh parsley and salt. It may sound simple but the flavors are surely there. Please, no margarine. Dot the spuds with the butter and sprinkle them over with the butter and parsley. If you have some dried thyme, even better. Keep it simple, the flavor will shine through. Then mash them.
You're coupling an Italian meal with tater tots? That's almost as bad as wearing tight red floral pants and an obscenely loud orange t-shirt which is three sizes too big. You're going to ruin everything.
Make gnocchi if you *really* must have potatoes--Publix sells them and you just have to boil them for about 5 minutes until they float to the top. You could also get fresh mozzarella (and I mean FRESH--like, DELI fresh), FRESH basil leaves (not the dried McCormick stuff), fresh plum tomatoes, and toasted bread with olive oil and make your own bruschetta.
But whatever you do--DO NOT RUIN THE MEAL BY MAKING TATER TOTS! How southern can you be?! Panini and prosciutto deserve a better side dish than tater tots. Tots are good, but they don't belong with this meal. It would ruin the meal--not compliment it.
